A rom-com needs lilting soundtrack work, but this one is completely lacking it. The film must have been shot on a shoestring budget as it lacks standard production and technical values. In some scenes, she is superb, at other places she looks like a completely different person. Mirchi Hemanth’s track is sore point. He might well suit for mature love stories.ĭrishya Raghunath is okay. Though there is nothing complexity in his characterization, he has played it convincingly. Popular TV actor RK Naidu as Madhav Sunnipenta looks handsome and does his job well. In the second half, the film tries to stuff some emotional elements but they are quite predictable. The promise of good fun wears off too soon. Stuffed with easy coincidences and illogical situations, the narration turns trite and unconvincing. But as the narration goes on at a relaxed pace taking ample time to the conflict point, the fun peters away. Some gags have worked well.Įven though a major portion of the first half is set in the car and in Pelli Choopulu places, it doesn’t bore you. Likewise, the story offers some fun moments. The plot idea of two unlikely people falling in love in an unlikely situation is interesting. The beginning portions remind us of Tharun Bhaskar’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’, but soon it drifts away. Bulk of the scenes in the latter half look repetitive and that tampers the flow.As they travel together in the cab, Madhav and Satyabhama get attracted to each other. However, the film often falters and the tempo goes down drastically. The cat and mouse game between the lead pair keep the viewers engaged, to an extent. The comedy scenes featuring Rahul Ramakrishna and Ajay Ghosh in the opening half provide some entertainment. Shaadi Mubarak has a thin plot and mainly banks on the lighthearted comedy. The film has a host of comedy actors including Rahul Ramakrishna, Madhunandan, and Bhadram. Drishya bags an author-backed role and she delivers a fine performance. He does particularly well in emotional episodes.
Sagar is a seasoned actor and he is in his elements in the role of an NRI.
The rest of the story unveils the journey between Madhav and Drishya. The bureau manager agrees to orchestrate meetings with suitable matches, but due to unforeseen events, she hands over the responsibility to Satyabhama (Drishya). Madhav (Sagar), an Australian resident returns to India in search of a life partner and in the process, he approaches a marriage bureau.
